Why he's above the rest: Sharman was the best shooting guard of the 50s. He was the first guard to shoot over 40% for his career, and he led the league in FT% 7 times. He's still ranked #14 in career FT%. He and Bob Cousy combined to form the backcourt on the 1st Team All-NBA 4 consecutive seasons. Even though he was never the best player, he was a contributor on 5 consecutive Finals teams. He played in a weaker era, but he was still a star and deserves to be here before I go through too many role players.
