Why he's below Paul Arizin: Arizin's career was short; Giannis' has been even shorter, lasting only 8 seasons (only 5 of which were since he became a star player). He's yet to make a Finals appearance, partly because his offensive game relies on athleticism more than skills, which makes him easier to stop when the games become more important and defenses step up.
Why he's above the rest: He has 2 MVPs. Only 14 other players in NBA history have multiple MVP awards. He's 1 of only 3 players to win MVP and DPOY in the same season (with Jordan and Hakeem, both ranked in my top 10). If he avoids a career-altering injury, he's going to fly up the all-time list. The postseason success hasn't been there yet, but it will probably come eventually. Hakeem didn't win a championship until he was 31 and had several 1st round exits before then. I'm not going to judge Giannis' final legacy until it is actually final.
