Why he's below Michael Jordan: Count me among those who thinks LeBron will pass Jordan by the end of his career, but he isn’t there yet. Though his postseason performance is a lot closer to Jordan's than you probably think, a couple duds drag him down: In 2010 he didn't get any help from his teammates, but he didn't play as well as usual either. And in 2018 he actually played great in the Finals, but a sweep is a sweep. Jordan's peak also lasted slightly longer than LeBron's did.

Why he's above the rest: LeBron is only the second player with at least 4 MVPs and Finals MVPs. He has been the best player on 10 Finals teams, which, in my opinion, is ahead of Bill Russell's 8. If he avoids major injury and early retirement, he’ll end his career #1 in points, #2 in assists, top-5 in steals and top-25 in rebounds. He already has more All-NBA finishes (16) than Jordan had total seasons (15). He has been top-5 in MVP voting 14 times. He’s made the all star team 17 times. His 4 Finals MVPs are second only to Jordan. While his peak didn’t match Jordan’s, his career accomplishments are going to surpass those of everyone else who has ever played.
